This tenth special is the third issue of 2010. Very surprising to get so many in so short a time, but very welcomed as well. The previous issue ended with the Avengers - Captain America, Iron Man and Thor - preparing to do battle with Fin Fang Foom. This issue is a continuation - sort of. Instead of all three battling Foom, Iron Man tangles with the monster while Captain America faces off with Whiplash and Thor confronts Abomination. The three rally later and realize their missions are somehow connected, but the mystery is put aside as they attend a ribbon-cutting for a new AAFES store.
For super-hero action, this issue is jam-packed. Each of the three battles is handled by a different artist, and the fourth chapter is illustrated by yet another artist. Very disappointing that Marvel did not include credits in the issue. The fights all look spectacular. We are still unsure of any continuity connections within the series (is this the past or did Steve Rogers return and become Cap again), but since they're really setting up to promote 2011's Thor and Cap movies, along with 2012's Avengers feature, the out-of-continuity continuity isn't really important.
The issue is really enjoyable and still has the military tribute at the end. Not on par with the Stuart Moore issues, but a terrific effort.
